Backup Lamp: Service and Repair

Remove or Disconnect
1. Two stage rivets (two each side) retaining outboard lamp fillers to back up lamp assembly. Press center of rivet until a click is heard. Remove rivet from filler.
2. Nuts retaining back up lamp to rear compartment lid.
3. Bulb sockets from lamp.
4. Back up lamp.

Install or Connect
1. Bulb sockets to lamp.
2. Back up lamp.
3. Nuts to lamp.

Tighten
^ Nuts to 5 Nm (44 lb. in.).

4. Reset two stage rivets so that center of rivet is outboard. Install rivets to lamp fillers and press center of rivet to lock in place.

Important
^ Do not rework or alter the reflective surface of back up lamps.
