Circuit Operation - Interior Lights

ILLUMINATION LAMPS
Voltage is applied at all times through the DOME Fuse to the Dome Lamp. The Dome Lamp is grounded through any of the Door Jamb Switches. The Door Jamb Switches when closed (with door open), complete a ground path for the Dome Lamp when the Dome Lamp Switch is in the DOOR position. With both power and ground applied, the Dome Lamp will light. The Dome Lamp will remain lit until all of the doors are closed. The Dome Lamp can also he tuned ON with all of the doors closed. This can be accomplished by placing the Dome Lamp Switch in the "ON" position. With the Switch in this position, the ground path is completed through the Dome Lamp (2-Door) or through G202 (4-Door). The Dome Lamp circuit can also he bypassed altogether. This is done by placing the Dome Lamp Switch in the "OFF" position. By doing this, the Dome Lamp will not light when the doors are opened.

Voltage is applied at all times through the DOME Fuse to the Luggage Compartment Lamp (4-Door LSi). The Luggage Compartment Lamp is grounded through the Luggage Compartment Lamp Switch. the Luggage Compartment Lamp Switch is closed whenever the Deck Lid is opened. With power and ground applied to the Luggage Compartment Lamp, the Lamp will light. The only way the Luggage Compartment Lamp can be turned ON and OFF is by opening and closing the Deck Lid.

CIGAR LIGHTER
With the Ignition Switch in the "ON" or "ACC" position, voltage is applied through the ACC Fuse to the Cigar Lighter. The Cigar Lighter is grounded through G202. With voltage applied and the Cigar Lighter pressed in, the Cigar Lighter heating element will begin to heat up. When the heating element reaches a predetermined temperature value, the Cigar Lighter will pop out, thus interrupting the circuit
