System Description

The front wiper/washer system consists of a wiper motor, wiper linkage, wiper arm, wiper blade assembly and wiper blade rubber, washer fluid reservoir and a front washer pump. The front wiper/washer system is controlled through the front wiper/washer lever which is integrated into the combination switch. The front wiper/washer lever is located on the right side of the steering column. Intermittent wipers are standard equipment on all Metro models except the 2-Door Hatchback base model. The front wiper circuit is designed so that when the wiper switch is turned OFF the wiper blades will automatically return to their final rest position.
