Washer Operation
The front and rear washer systems consist of a washer fluid reservoir, washer pumps which are attached to the washer fluid reservoir, hoses, nozzles and washer switches. The washer fluid reservoir is mounted between the fender and the fender apron on the left side of the vehicle and is accessible by removing the plastic wheelhousing.
The front washer system is actuated by pulling the front wiper/washer lever rearward. The front washer will operate until the lever is released. When the front washer system is activated, the front wipers will operate at low speed regardless of the lever's position, except on vehicles without the intermittent wiper feature.
In vehicles without the intermittent feature, the wipers will not automatically sweep when the control level is moved rearward in the off position. The lever must be manually set to any speed for the wipers to operate.
The rear washer is actuated through the rear washer switch. The rear washer will operate as long as the washer switch is depressed. When the rear washer switch is depressed the rear wiper will operate regardless of the rear wiper switch position.
