Remote Activation Verification System Operation

RKE Transmitter:

To customize the Remote Activation Verification features, you must first pull the MALL PGM Fuse from the fuse panel and then turn the Ignition Switch to "ACCESSORY." The seat belt telltale flashes and the chime bongs 2-4 times to indicate that the vehicle is in a feature customization mode. Each time the "LOCK" button is pressed on the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Transmitter, the seat belt telltale flashes and the chime bongs a number of times equal to the current customization mode number as shown below:
1. Mode 1: Remote lock and unlock confirmation are disabled.
2. Mode 2:
^ Remote Lock Confirmation: When you use the RKE Transmitter to lock your vehicle, your Park Lamps will flash briefly to let you know when your command is received.
^ Remote Unlock Confirmation: When you use the RKE Transmitter to unlock your vehicle, your Park Lamps will flash briefly to let you know when your command is received.
3. Mode 3:
^ Remote Lock Confirmation: When you use the RKE Transmitter to lock your vehicle, the Horn will sound briefly and your Park Lamps will flash briefly to let you know when your command is received.
^ Remote Unlock Confirmation: When you use the RKE Transmitter to unlock your vehicle, your Park Lamps will flash briefly to let you know when your command is received.
4. Mode 4:
^ Remote Lock Confirmation: When you use the RKE Transmitter to lock your vehicle, your Park Lamps will flash briefly to let you know when your command is received. The Horn will sound briefly and the Park Lamps will flash briefly if you press the "LOCK" button again within 5 seconds.
^ Remote Unlock Confirmation: When you use the RKE Transmitter to unlock your vehicle, your Park Lamps will flash briefly to let you know when your command is received.
Each time the "LOCK" button is pressed on the RKE Transmitter the mode number will advance. A transition past mode 4 will repeat starting again at mode 1. To exit and save the current customization, take the Ignition Switch out of "ACCESSORY" and place the MALL PGM Fuse back into the fuse panel. If you desire to customize other features, customize them before reinstalling the MALL PGM Fuse into the fuse panel.
