REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. If required, run wipers to park position.
2. Nozzle (5, Figure 10) hose from hose connector (6).
3. Protective cap (4).
4. Lift wiper arm assembly (8) and insert a suitable pin or pop rivet completely through the two holes located next to pivot of arm assembly (Figure 11).
5. Nut (7, Figure 10).
6. Arm assembly off its transmission drive shaft (Figure 12) using a battery terminal puller.
CLEAN
- Knurls of transmission drive shaft with a suitable wire brush.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in General Information.
1. Wiper blade assembly, if removed. See "Wiper Blade Assembly Replacement."
2. Wiper arm assembly (8, Figure 11) 25 mm (1 in.) below stop surface of park ramp as shown in Figure 13.
3. Pivot prevention pin (Figure 11) from wiper arm.
4. New nut (7, Figure 10).
Tighten
- Nut (7) to 30 N.m (22 lb. ft.).
5. Lift replaced arm assembly over park ramp (A, Figure 13).
6. Nozzle hose (5) to hose connector (6).
7. Protective cap (4).
INSPECT
- Run wipers and check for correct wipe pattern. LH blade tip should wipe to a limit of 25-38 mm (1-1.5 in.) from outside edge of glass as shown in Figure 14. RH blade should overlap into LH wipe pattern as shown.
- Shut off wipers and check for proper park position.
