Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement (7X)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Crank steering wheel fully to the left.
3. Raise vehicle on hoist.
4. Sensor electrical connector.
5. Bolt/screw.
6. Sensor from engine.
7. Inspect for the following:
a. Inspect the sensor for wear, cracks, or leakage. Replace the O-ring if necessary.
b. Lubricate the new O-ring with clean engine oil before installing.


INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the sensor to the block.
2. Install the bolt to hold sensor to block face. Tighten the bolt to 5 Nm (71 lb in).
3. Connect the electrical connector.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
