Trunk Delay Mode

Lamp Status: Flashing.

After the rear compartment has been closed, the content theft deterrent system waits for two seconds before going into the re-arm wait mode. When the content theft deterrent system is in the trunk delay mode, the BCM ignores the shock sensor. The 2 second period allows any residual signals that may be present to settle down from the shock sensor.

The content theft deterrent system stays in the trunk delay mode for 2 seconds, or until one of these conditions is met:
^ Pressing unlock on the key less entry transmitter; the system goes into stand-by mode.
^ Unlocking doors using door key cylinder when the arm/disarm is in mode 1 or 3; the system goes into stand-by mode.
^ Opening a vehicle door; the system goes into alarm mode.
^ Turning the ignition switch from the OFF to the ACC or RUN position; the system goes into alarm mode.
^ Opening the rear compartment; the system goes into trunk open mode.

After 2 seconds in this mode, the content theft deterrent system goes into re-arm wait mode.
