Trunk Wait Mode

Lamp Status: Flashing.

The content theft deterrent system enters the trunk wait mode when pressing rear compartment button on the keyless entry transmitter. Then, the Body Control Module (BCM) monitors the trunk open input to receive a signal indicating that the rear compartment lid is open.

The content theft deterrent system stays in the trunk wait mode until one of these conditions is met:
^ When the rear compartment lid opens, the system goes into trunk open mode.
^ Pressing unlock on the keyless entry transmitter; the system goes into stand-by mode.
^ Unlocking doors using door key cylinder when the arm/disarm is in mode I or 3; the system goes into stand-by mode.
^ Opening a vehicle door; the system goes in alarm mode.
^ Shock sensor trigger when the content theft deterrent system is in mode 1 or 3; the system goes into alarm mode.
^ Turning the ignition switch from the OFF to the ACC or RUN position; the system goes into alarm mode.
