Warning Mode

Lamp Status: On steady.

The warning mode attempts to warn away potential intruders prior to the content theft deterrent system going into alarm mode. The Body Control Module (BCM) flashes the headlamps and sounds the horn alternately five times rapidly. Then, the content theft deterrent system goes into armed mode.

The content theft deterrent system stays in the warning mode until one of these conditions is met:
^ Opening a vehicle door; the system goes into alarm mode.
^ Shock sensor trigger when the arm/disarm is in mode 1 or 3; the system goes into alarm mode.
^ Turning the ignition switch from the OFF to the ACC or RUN position; the system goes into alarm mode.
^ Opening the rear compartment lid; the system goes into trunk open mode.
^ When the content theft deterrent system has been in warning mode five times, the system goes into alarm mode.
