Changing the Feature Customization Modes

Perform the following procedure to change the remote unlock control mode:
1. Turn off the IP dimmer switch.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
3. Remove the MALL PGM Fuse.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position.
^ The Body Control Module (BCM) sounds the chime a number of times equivalent to the BCM type installed on the vehicle (1, 2, 3, or 4 chimes). Make sure vehicle has either a BCM type 3 or 4. Refer to Body Control Module for more information.
^ Now the BCM has entered the feature customization mode.
5. To change the remore unlock control mode, press and release the unlock button on the keyless entry transmitter.
^ The BCM sounds the chime a number of times equivalent to the remote unlock control mode. A transition Past mode 2 repeats the sequence starting with mode 1.
6. To change the remote activation verification mode, press and release the lock button on the keyless entry transmitter.
^ The BCM sounds the chime a number of times equivalent to the remote activation verification mode. A transition past mode 4 repeats the sequence starting with mode 1.

To exit and save the current feature customization modes:
1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Reinstall the MALL PGM Fuse.

If unable to change locking modes, refer to Body Control Module for diagnosis and repair. Body Control Module
