Instrument Panel Trim Panel Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDUREIMPORTANT: Remove the IP upper trim slowly in order to prevent the retainer clips from falling into the IP.
1. Lift up the instrument panel upper trim panel approximately 51 mm (2 in) and pull rearward in order to release the Instrument Panel (IP) upper trim panel retainers.
2. Remove the security indicator lamp.
3. Remove the daytime running lamp ambient light sensor.
4. Remove the sun load sensor.
5. Remove the IP upper trim panel from the IP.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the security indicator lamp. Refer to Lamp Replacement - Security Indicator Service and Repairin Theft Deterrent.
2. Install the daytime running lamp ambient light sensor.
3. Install the sun load temperature sensor.
4. Align the instrument panel (IP) upper trim panel locating pins and retainers with the slots in the IP.
IMPORTANT: The 3 retainers to the rear of the HUD unit, on HUD equipped vehicles, must be installed last and must be pushed down from the LH to the RH.
5. Push down and forward on the IP upper trim panel in order to lock the IP upper trim panel into place.
