Body Control Module (BCM)

The Body Control Module (BCM) controls interior illumination. One of three BCM types is installed on this vehicle based on vehicle equipment:
^ BCM type 2 provides interior illumination control, inadvertent load (battery rundown) protection, chime functions, Retained Accessory Power (RAP), and automatic power door locks.
^ BCM type 3 provides BCM type 2 features plus keyless entry system (RPO AU0).
^ BCM type 4 provides BCM type 2 and 3 features plus content theft deterrent (RPO UA6) with remote activation verification and remote alarm.
