Step 1: Entering the Feature Customization Mode
When performing Body Control Module (BCM) diagnostics, the first step is to enter the feature customization mode. During this mode the BCM identifies itself, so that both the vehicle's option content match with BCM's capabilities.To enter the feature customization mode:
1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Remove the MALL PGM fuse.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position.
Upon entering the feature customization mode, the BCM flashes the fasten belts indicator and sounds the chime 2, 3 or 4 times which is equal to the BCM type installed on the vehicle. Check that the BCM installed on the vehicle is compatible with all of the features on the vehicle. If not, then replace the BCM with the proper type.

^ Interior lighting. Lighting and Horns
^ Automatic door lock. Power Locks
^ Keyless entry. Keyless Entry
^ Content theft deterrent. Antitheft and Alarm Systems
