System Check - Starting System

Preliminary Inspection
Inspect the following components before checking the starting system:

CAUTION:
- Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
- Refer to SIR Handling Caution in Cautions and Notices.

- Battery - Load test the battery. Refer to Battery Load Test. Battery Load Test
- Wiring - Inspect the wiring for damage. Inspect all connections to the starter motor, solenoid, battery, and all ground connections. Clean and tighten the connections as required.
- Engine - Make sure the engine is not seized.
- When the battery, the wiring and the engine are functioning properly, refer to Starter Solenoid Clicks, Engine Does Not Crank ,Engine Cranks/Cranks Slowly, but Does Not Start or Starter Solenoid Does Not Click Starter Solenoid Clicks, Engine Does Not Crank Engine Cranks/Cranks Slowly, But Does Not Start Starter Solenoid Does Not Click
