Theft Deterrent Arm/Disarm Modes
Theft Deterrent Arm/Disarm Modes Table:
^ Mode 1: The system arms when locking doors with the keyless entry transmitter. The system disarms when unlocking the doors with the key or the keyless entry transmitter. The system does not arm when locking doors with either power door lock switch.
^ Mode 2: The system arms when locking the doors with the keyless entry transmitter. The system disarms when unlocking doors with the keyless entry transmitter only. The system does not disarm when unlocking doors with key.
^ Mode 3: The system arms when locking the doors using either power door lock switch or the keyless entry transmitter. The system disarms when unlocking the doors with key or the keyless entry transmitter.
Note: Although mode 2 provides increased security, the system disarms only by pressing unlock on the keyless entry transmitter. This can pose a problem if the keyless entry transmitter is damaged, lost, or if it fails to operate for any reason while attempting to disarm the content theft deterrent system. When the system is armed, the engine will not start because of the content theft deterrent system's fuel disable feature.
