Delay Mode

Lamp Status: ON steady.

The content theft deterrent system enters the delay mode when all of these conditions are met:
^ The key is removed from the ignition key lock cylinder.
^ All doors are closed.
^ The rear compartment lid is closed.
^ Pressing lock on the keyless entry transmitter or a power door lock switch.

After being in this mode for 1 second, the Body Control Module (BCM) goes into armed mode. If the rear compartment lid is open, the BCM goes into trunk open mode.

The content theft deterrent system exits the delay mode and goes into ignition on mode when turning the ignition switch to the ACC or RUN position.
