Trunk Open Mode
Lamp Status: Flashing.In this mode, the Body Control Module (BCM) waits for the rear compartment to be closed before entering the re-arm wait mode. When the content theft deterrent system is in the trunk open mode, the BCM ignores inputs from the shock sensor and the rear compartment lid tamper switch. When the content theft deterrent system enters the trunk open mode, the BCM sounds the horn once ( with the remote activation verification in modes 3 or 4) and then flashes the headlamps once (with the remote activation verification in modes 2, 3 or 4). The content theft deterrent system stays in the trunk open mode until one of these conditions is met:
^ When rear compartment closes, the system goes into trunk delay mode.
^ Pressing unlock on the keyless entry transmitter; the system goes into stand-by mode.
^ Unlocking doors using door key cylinder when the arm/disarm is in mode 1 or 3; the system goes into stand-by mode.
^ Opening a vehicle door; the system goes into alarm mode.
^ Turning the ignition switch from the OFF to the ACC or RUN position; the system goes into alarm mode.
