Troubleshooting Hints
PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS1. If vehicle is equipped with Keyless Entry, refer to Keyless Entry for Power Door Lock diagnosis. Keyless Entry
2. Check the PWR ACC Fuse in I/P Fuse Block. If open check all power feed circuits to the Door Lock Motors for a short to ground condition in all power feed circuits to the Door Lock Motors.
3. Check for poor connection at G302.
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove good in a continuity/voltage check (refer to Troubleshooting Procedures).
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems (refer to Troubleshooting Procedures). Diagnostic Aids
4. The RH Door Lock Switch operates normally. The LH Door Lock Switch does not Lock or Unlock. check for B+ at terminal F of the LH Door Lock Switch Connector.
- If not present, repair the open CKT 1240.
- If present, replace the LH Door Lock Switch.
5. One Door Lock Switch Unlocks but does not Lock. The other switch operates OK. Check for the poor connection at the suspect Door Lock Switch. If OK, replace the suspect Door Lock Switch.
6. One Door Lock Switch Locks but does not Unlock. The other switch operates OK. Check for a poor connection at the suspect Door Lock Switch. If OK, replace the suspect Door Lock Switch.
