Heater and Temperature Valves

Heater Module - Disassembled View (1 Of 2):

Remove or Disconnect

1. Negative battery cable.
2. Instrument panel and console.
3. Floor heater duct connector.
4. Heater outlet.
5. Heater core cover.
^ There is a mounting screw located in a recess in the center of the cover.
6. Heater valve lever link.
7. Heater valve.
8. Heater core.
9. Heater core shroud.
^ There is a mounting screw located at the middle of the front of dash.
10. Temperature cable from temperature valve and position aside.
11. Clip securing the link-end of temperature valve shaft.
12. Temperature valve from module by sliding valve to the right and pulling valve down until link-end of valve can be removed.

Install or Connect

1. Temperature valve to module by inserting link-end of valve into module and pushing valve up into the module until the valve seats.
2. Clip securing the link-end of temperature valve shaft.
3. Temperature cable to temperature valve.
4. Heater core shroud.

Tighten
^ Screw to 1 N.m (9 lb in).

5. Heater core and straps.

Tighten
^ Screws to 1 N.m (9 lb in).

6. Heater valve.
7. Heater valve lever link.
8. Heater core cover.

Tighten
^ Screws to 1 N.m (9 lb in).

9. Heater outlet.

Tighten
^ Screws to 1 N.m (9 lb in).

10. Floor heater duct connector.
11. Instrument Panel and console.
12. Negative battery cable.

Tighten
^ Bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
