Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disable the SIR system.
3. Remove the defroster grille.
4. Remove the end caps.
5. Remove the accessory trim plate.
6. Remove the instrument cluster trim plate.
7. Remove the HVAC control.
8. Remove the radio.
9. Remove the air distribution ducts (3).
10. Remove the steering wheel.
11. Disconnect the instrument panel compartment lamp electrical connector.




12. Remove the screws (4) from the tie bar (2).
13. Remove the panel (3) from the tie bar (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the panel (3) to the tie bar (2).
2. Install the screws (4) to the tie bar (2).
3. Connect the instrument panel compartment lamp electrical connector.
4. Install the following components to the steering column:
^ Install the steering wheel..
^ The stalks
5. Install the air distribution ducts (3).
6. Install the radio.
7. Install the HVAC control.
8. Install the instrument cluster trim plate.
9. Install the accessory trim plate.
10. Install the end caps.
11. Install the defroster grille.
12. Enable the SIR system.
