Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Remove the defroster grille.
3. Remove the instrument panel valance.
4. Remove the end caps.
5. Remove the screws from under the end caps.
6. Open the instrument panel compartment.
7. Remove the retaining screws for the glove box trim plate and the accessory trim plate.

NOTE: Always ensure that you install the screws for the glove box bracket using the proper torque in order to avoid a rattle condition.

8. Remove the screws from the bracket in the upper left corner of the glove box.
9. Remove the accessory trim plate.
10. Remove all of the screws (1) attaching the instrument panel trim pad (2).
11. Remove the instrument panel trim pad (2) from the instrument panel.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the pad (2) to the instrument panel.
2. Install the screws (1) attaching the trim pad (2) to the instrument panel.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

3. Install the accessory trim plate.
4. Install the screws to the accessory trim plate and the glove box trim plate.

NOTE: Always ensure that you install the screws for the glove box bracket using the proper torque in order to avoid a rattle condition.

5. Install the screws through the upper left corner of the glove box.
6. Install the screws under the end caps.
7. Install the end caps.
8. Install the instrument panel valance.
9. Install the defroster grille.
10. Enable the SIR system.
