Instrument Panel
NOTE: When replacing a speedometer/odometer assembly, the law requires that the odometer reading of the replacement unit be set in order to register the same mileage as the prior odometer. If the same mileage cannot be set, the law requires that the replacement odometer be turned to zero. A label must be installed on the driver's door frame in order to show the previous odometer reading and the date of replacement.
The instrument panel allows the removal of the following components from the driver's side of the instrument panel:
^ The control switches
^ The instruments
^ The gauges
The following components hold the trim covers in place:
^ The screws
^ The clips
The cluster housing attaches to the instrument panel pad. The cluster housing contains the following components:
^ The speedometer
^ The gauges
^ The indicators
^ The instrument panel bulbs
