Troubleshooting Hints - Brake Transaxle Shift Interlock

^ Verify Brake Lamp operation. If the Brake Lamps do not operate, refer to Exterior Lights. Lighting and Horns
^ Refer to Power Steering Gear Unit Repair in Steering, Suspension, and also for Brake Transaxle Shift Interlock (BTSI) access and additional information.
^ The Gear Selector does not shift out of PARK with the Brake Pedal depressed and the Ignition Switch in the RUN position. Check the 420 CKT for a short to B+ and/or a faulty Brake Switch. If OK, replace the Brake Transaxle Shift Interlock Solenoid.
