Cold Purge

In cold weather, moist breath air from vehicle occupants may condense on the windshield.
On cold engine start-up, the programmer tests for indications that condensation on the windshield may occur. If condensation is evident, the programmer initiates the following:
1. Energizes the A/C solenoid in order to direct air through the windshield outlets
2. Runs the blower at 60 percent of maximum speed for 20 seconds
3. Resumes normal system operation

The system bypasses this mode if one of the following conditions occurs:
^ The blower fan is operating in manual mode.
^ The driver chooses the DEFROST mode at start-up.
