Fasten Safety Belt Warning

The fasten seat belts chime sounds when both of the following conditions are met:
^ The ignition switch is in either of the following positions:
- RUN
- START
^ The left front seat belt is unbuckled.

When the ignition switch is in the RUN position or the ignition switch is in the START position, ignition positive voltage is applied on CKT 39 (PNK) to the body control module (MALL). When you unbuckle the left front seat belt, the following conditions occur:
^ The seat belt switch closes.
^ A ground condition exists on CKT 238 (BLK/WHT). The MALL commands the slow-pulsed fasten safety belt chime for 4-8 seconds when the following conditions occur:
^ When the MALL detects a ground condition on CKT 238 (BLK/WHT).
^ There is ignition positive voltage on CKT 39 (PNK).

When the above actions occur, the MALL applies voltage on CKT 234 (YEL) for 70 seconds. This action illuminates the FASTEN BELTS indicator.
