Power Window Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

NOTE: The retainer clip must be fully disengaged before the switch plate is removed. Otherwise damage to the switch plate could result.

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Use a flat-bladed tool in order to release the clip at the front of the switch plate.
3. Remove the switch plate from the trim panel.
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
5. Use a flat-bladed tool in order to release the retainers that fasten the switch.
6. Remove the switch.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Align the switch.
2. Press the switch into the switch plate.
3. Connect the electrical connectors.
4. Align the switch plate to the trim panel.
5. Push downward on the switch plate in order to fasten the switch plate to the trim panel.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
