Wiper Arm Tip Pressure Check

Wiper Arm Pressure Check:

1. Run the wiper arms to the mid-wipe position.
2. Remove the blades from the wiper arms.
3. Attach a scale to the wiper arm attaching pin and measure the force required to lift the wiper arm perpendicular to the windshield to normal working height (height with the blade attached).
4. If the force required is not within the specifications given below, the wiper arm should be replaced.

Tip Pressure
The tip pressure should be 8.3-10.1 Newtons (30-36 oz).
