Amplifier Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the radio.

IMPORTANT: The amplifier is retained to the bracket by push-in type retainers. The amplifier and the amplifier bracket are serviced as an assembly.

2. Remove the fasteners (3) that retain the amplifier mounting bracket to the instrument panel.
3. Disconnect the amplifier electrical connector.
4. Remove the amplifier/bracket assembly (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the amplifier/bracket assembly (2).
2. Ensure that the wiring harness is routed through the clip (1) on the upper side of the bracket.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the fasteners (3) that retain the amplifier mounting bracket to the instrument panel.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).




4. Connect the amplifier electrical connector (2).
5. Install the radio.
