Fog/Driving Lamp: Adjustments

You cannot adjust the horizontal aim of the fog lamps. The vertical aim can be adjusted with an adjusting screw:
^ On Chevrolet vehicles, the adjusting screw is located on the outer edge of the fog lamp.
^ On Pontiac vehicles, the adjusting screw is located at the top center of the fog lamp.

Perform the following steps in order to adjust the vertical aim on the fog lamps:
1. If other service has been performed on the vehicle, ensure that all of the components are in place.
2. Ensure that the vehicle has a 1/2 tank of fuel or less.
3. Move the vehicle to a level area.
Park 7.6 m (25 ft) away from the target screen.
Measure from the center of the fog lamp to the ground line.
4. Turn on the fog lamps.
5. Set the top edge of the beams high intensity zone below the horizontal axis (2) 102 mm (4 in) (5) below the axis. Do not move the beam lower than 204 mm (8 in) (3) below the axis.
