Air Inlet Valve Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the instrument panel from the vehicle.
3. Remove the recirculation valve vacuum actuator (5) from the module.
4. Remove the recirculation valve inlet housing (2) from the module.
5. Remove the recirculation valve (3) from the inlet housing.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the recirculation valve (3) to the inlet housing.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the recirculation valve inlet housing to the module.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 1 N.m (9 lb in).

3. Install the recirculation valve vacuum actuator (5) to the module.
4. Install the instrument panel to the vehicle.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
