Backup Lamps
GENERAL DESCRIPTI0NThe backup lamps are designed in order to operate under the following conditions:
^ With the ignition switch in the ON position
^ With the transaxle in reverse
Placing the shift lever in REVERSE closes a switch, turning the backup lamps on. This is accomplished through a switch located on the transaxle assembly.
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
When the ignition switch is in the ON or the START position, voltage is applied from the B-U LMP/BTSI fuse to the park/neutral position switch. When the transaxle is in REVERSE, voltage is applied to the left and the right backup lamps. The backup lamps are permanently grounded. When the voltage is applied to CKT 24, the backup lamps are ON.
