Fog/Driving Lamp: Service and Repair




REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Partially remove the lower splash shield in order to gain access to the fog lamps.
2. Disconnect the connector from the lamp.
3. Remove the fog lamp retaining bolts (2).
4. Remove the fog lamp (1) from the impact bar (3).

CAUTION: Halogen bulbs contain gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments. To help avoid personal injury:
^ Turn oft the lamp switch and allow the bulb to cool before changing the bulb. Leave the lamp switch off until the bulb change is complete.
^ Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb.
^ Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass.
^ Do not drop or scratch the bulb.
^ Keep dirt and moisture off the bulb.
^ Place the used bulb in the new bulb's carton and dispose of it properly.
^ Keep halogen bulbs out of the reach of children


5. Disconnect the connector from the bulb.
6. Remove the bulb from the lamp assembly by twisting 1/4 and pulling outward.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the bulb to the lamp assembly. Push the bulb inward and turn until the bulb is retained.
2. Connect the connector to the bulb.
3. Install the fog lamp (1) to the impact bar (3).
4. Install the fog lamp bracket to the impact bar (3).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

5. Install the fog lamp retaining bolts (2) to the impact bar (3).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 2.5 N.m (53 lb in).

6. Connect the connector to the lamp assembly.
7. Install the lower splash shields.
