Radio/Stereo: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Remove the Instrument Panel (IP) cluster trim plate.
2. Remove the radio screws.
3. Pull the radio away from the IP.
4. Disconnect the electrical/audio electrical connectors from the radio.
5. Disconnect the coaxial cable connector from the radio.
6. Remove the radio.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect the coaxial cable connector to the radio.
2. Connect the electrical/audio connectors to the radio.
3. Install the radio to the Instrument Panel (IP).
IMPORTANT: It the radio locator tab is difficult to align to the IP locator opening, pull the radio toward you and reposition the antenna cable.
4. Align the radio control locator tab to the IP locator hole while carefully pressing the radio into the IP until fully seated.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
5. Install the radio screws.
Tighten
Tighten the radio screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
6. Install the IP cluster trim plate.
