Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the battery ground negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
2. Remove the left instrument panel (IP) insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the steering column filler. Refer to Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement Service and Repair
4. Remove the knee bolster bracket. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement (Service and Repair) .
5. Lower the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.
6. Grasp both sides of the bottom edge of the instrument panel cluster (IPC) trim plate and pull out in order to release the retainer clips.
7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fog lamp switch.
8. Remove the trim plate from the IP.
Installation Procedure
1. Connect the electrical connector to the fog lamp switch.
2. Align the locating pins and the retainer clips on the IPC trim plate with the slots in the IP.
3. Push in the IPC trim plate at each of the retainer clip locations in order to lock in the trim plate.
4. Raise the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.
5. Install the knee bolster bracket. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement (Service and Repair) .
6. Install the steering column filler. Refer to Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement Service and Repair
7. Install the left IP insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side (Service and Repair) .
8. Connect the battery ground negative cable . Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
