SKIP SHIFT INDICATOR (MANUAL TRANS ONLY)
The IPC illuminates the skip shift indicator when the following occurs:
^ The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects the transmission skip shift function is enabled. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM requesting illumination.
^ The IPC performs the displays test at the start of each ignition cycle.
