Transmission Shift Position Indicator Lamp: Service and Repair

TRANS FLOOR SHIFT CONTROL INDICATOR LAMP REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Open the console armrest door.
2. Remove the bolts (2) from the transmission trim plate (1) of the floor console.
3. Remove the transmission trim plate (1).
4. Rotate the indicator lamp socket in a counterclockwise direction. Remove the socket from the transmission trim plate.
5. Remove the bulb from the socket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the bulb to the socket.
2. Install the socket to the transmission trim plate of the floor console. Rotate the socket clockwise to secure.
3. Install the floor console transmission trim plate.
4. Snap the trim plate (1) in place to secure the trim plate.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the bolts (2) to the transmission trim plate.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

6. Close the console armrest door.
