HVAC Blows Cold Air From IP Vents When Using Remote Start (Replace HVAC Control Module)

Models:
2005 Buick Allure (Canada Only), LaCrosse
2005 Pontiac Grand Prix

with Remote Start (RPO AP3) and Manual HVAC Controls (RPO C67)

Supercede:

This bulletin is being revised to add the Buick Allure/LaCrosse and update the parts information. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 05-01-38-003A (Section 01 - HVAC).

Condition

Some customers may comment that the HVAC system blows cold air from the instrument panel vents when using the remote start function. This means they are unable to warm-up the vehicle using remote start.

Cause

The cause of this condition may be due to incorrect programming of the processor chip in the HVAC control module.

Correction

Replace the HVAC control module.
