Inside Rearview Mirror

The rearview mirror assembly incorporates a display which indicates the passenger airbag status and a digital compass which displays the direction of vehicle travel.

Below the rearview mirror glass are four buttons:

* The compass display button, which is identified by the letter 'N' with a triangle above. When pressed it activates or deactivates the digital compass in the top right corner of the mirror assembly.
* The answer/end call button, which is identified by the white phone icon. When pressed it allows the user to either answer or end calls or to initiate the personal calling feature.
* The blue OnStar(R) call center button, which is identified by the OnStar(R) logo. When pressed it allows the user to connect to the OnStar(R) call center.
* The emergency button, which is identified by the white cross in front of a red background. When pressed it allows the user to make a high priority emergency call to the OnStar(R) call center.

The OnStar(R) status LED is located on the right of the emergency button on the rearview mirror assembly. When the OnStar(R) system is ON and operating normally the status LED indicates green. If the status LED indicates green and flashing, it is an indication that a call is in process. If the status LED indicates red, it is an indication that a system malfunction is present. In the event that there is a system malfunction and the OnStar(R) system is still able to make a call, the status LED will flash red during the call.

The inside rearview mirror incorporates a lever at the base of the mirror which when turned tilts the mirror to reduce the glare at night.
