Remote Control Door Lock Receiver and Theft Deterrent Module Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear window shelf. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .




2. Disconnect the remote function actuator (RFA) (1) electrical connector (2).





Important: Removal of the RFA is only accessible through the rear compartment.


3. Remove the RFA by releasing the two retaining tangs (1) and removing it from the rear window shelf.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the RFA by inserting the retaining tang (1) first and snap fitting the other two retaining tangs (2) listen for an audible click to confirm fitting.




2. Connect the RFA (1) electrical connector (2).
3. Install the rear window shelf. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Program the RFA. Refer to Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Programming and Setup (Programming and Relearning) .
5. Operate the keyless entry for correct operation.
