Instrument Panel Center Support Bracket Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the trim panel (I/P) centre. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement (Service and Repair) .




4. Remove the coin holder upper retaining screws (2,4) and remove the coin holder (1).
5. Remove the park recess tray upper retaining screw (2) and remove the recess trim (3).




6. Remove the I/P bracket to I/P carrier retaining screws (1).
7. Remove the I/P bracket to centre console retaining screws (2).




8. Remove the I/P bracket (2) to centre vent retaining clip (3).
9. Disengage the I/P bracket (2) from the centre console trim (1).
10. Carefully remove the I/P bracket (2) from the I/P carrier.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the I/P bracket into the I/P tower.
2. Carefully engage the I/P bracket (2) into the centre console trim (1).
3. Install the I/P bracket (2) to centre vent retaining clip (3).





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

4. Install the I/P bracket to centre console retaining screws (2).

Tighten the screws (1) to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

5. Install the I/P bracket to I/P carrier retaining screws (1).

Tighten the screws (1) to 2 N.m (18 lb in).






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

6. Install the coin holder upper retaining screws (2,4) and remove the coin holder (1).

Tighten the screws (2,4) to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

7. Install the park recess (3) tray upper retaining screw (2).

Tighten the screws (1) to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

8. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement (Service and Repair) .
9. Install the trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement (Service and Repair) .
10. Install the trim panel (I/P) centre. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
11. Ensure all trims are fitted correctly and are flush with the corresponding trims.
