Instrument Panel Retainer Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the right close out panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side (LHD) (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the hood release handle. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement (Service and Repair) .





Important: The right side is shown, the left side is similar.


4. Remove the I/P retainer to I/P carrier retaining screws (1).
5. Remove the I/P retainer.



Installation Procedure





1. Align the I/P retainer to the I/P carrier.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the I/P retainer to I/P carrier retaining screws (1).

Tighten the screws (1) to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

3. Install the hood release handle. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Install the right close out panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side (LHD) (Service and Repair) .
5. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement (Service and Repair) .
