Headlamp Bracket Replacement

Installation Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution (Battery Disconnect Caution) .
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the radiator air baffle and deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Upper Baffle and Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair)
3. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement) .
4. Remove the headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement (Service and Repair) .




5. Cut the headlamp assembly retaining brackets (1) along the broken line (A) as shown.
6. Discard the remaining end of the headlamp assembly retaining brackets (1).




7. Install the headlamp bracket (1) to the headlamp assembly (3).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

8. Install the headlamp bracket to headlamp assembly retaining screws (2).

Tighten the screws to 1 N.m (9 lb in).





9. Install the headlamp assembly (4) to the front end module (1).

Important: Replace the upper headlamp retaining bolts (2).


10. Install the NEW headlamp assembly to front end module upper retaining washers (3) and bolts (2).

Tighten the bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

11. Install the headlamp assembly to front end module lower retaining bolts (5).

Tighten the bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in).






Important: Make sure the headlamp assembly electrical connector locking tab (2) is correctly engaged. Failure to do so may cause an inoperative headlamp assembly.


12. Connect the headlamp assembly electrical connector (1).




13. Install the headlamp bracket (3) to the front end module (1).
14. Install the headlamp bracket to front end module retaining bolts (2).

Tighten the bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

15. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement) .
16. Install the radiator air baffle and deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Upper Baffle and Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair)
17. Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .
18. Check all vehicle lights for correct operation.
19. Adjust the headlamps. Refer to Headlamp Aiming (Adjustments) .
