Headlamp Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution (Battery Disconnect Caution) .
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the radiator air baffle and deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Upper Baffle and Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement) .





Important: Use a suitable tool to raise the headlamp assembly electrical connector locking tab (2) and pull the headlamp assembly electrical connector (1) rearward.


4. Disconnect the headlamp assembly electrical connector (1).




5. Remove the headlamp bracket to front end module retaining bolts (2).
6. Remove the headlamp bracket (3) from the front end module (1).




7. Remove the headlamp assembly to front end module retaining bolts (2).
8. Remove the headlamp assembly (3) from the front end module (1).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the headlamp assembly (3) to the front end module (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the headlamp assembly to front end module retaining bolts (2).

Tighten the bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in).






Important: Make sure the headlamp assembly electrical connector locking tab (2) is correctly engaged. Failure to do so may cause an inoperative headlamp assembly or intermittent condition.


3. Connect the headlamp assembly electrical connector (1).




4. Install the headlamp bracket (3) to the front end module (1).
5. Install the headlamp assembly to front end module retaining bolts (2).

Tighten the bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

6. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement) .
7. Install the radiator air baffle and deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Upper Baffle and Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair) .
8. Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .
9. Check all vehicle lights for correct operation.
10. Adjust the headlamps. Refer to Headlamp Aiming (Adjustments) .
