Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Wiring Harness Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution (Safety Glasses Warning) .
Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution (Service Precautions) .
Caution: Refer to Brake Dust Caution (Brake Dust Caution) .
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the rear wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair) .
3. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor jumper harness electrical connector (1).
4. Detach the electrical connector (1) from the right hand rail (2).




5. Disconnect the left rear and right rear wheel speed sensor electrical connectors (1).
6. Detach the wheel speed sensor wiring harness mounting clip (2) from the left rear and right rear knuckles (3).




7. Detach the wheel speed sensor wiring harness mounting clip (1).




8. Detach the wheel speed sensor wiring harness mounting clips (1) from the rear suspension subframe (2).

Important: Note the routing of the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (3).


9. Remove the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (2) from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution (Safety Glasses Warning) .
Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution (Service Precautions) .
Caution: Refer to Brake Dust Caution (Brake Dust Caution) .

Important: Make sure the routing of the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (3) is routed in its original location.


1. Install the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (3) to the vehicle.
2. Attach the wheel speed sensor wiring harness mounting clips (1) to the rear suspension subframe (2).




3. Attach the wheel speed sensor wiring harness mounting clip (1).




4. Connect the left rear and right rear wheel speed sensor electrical connectors (1).
5. Attach the wheel speed sensor wiring harness mounting clip (2) to the left rear and right rear knuckles (3).




6. Attach the electrical connector (1) to the right hand rail (2).
7. Connect the wheel speed sensor jumper harness electrical connector (1).
8. Install the rear wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair) .
9. Lower the vehicle.
10. Use the scan tool in order to clear any DTCs.
11. Perform the System Check-Vehicle. Refer to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle (Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview) ..
