Turn Signal Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution (Battery Disconnect Caution) .
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the upper and lower steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement (Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement) .




3. Disconnect the turn signal switch electrical connector (1).





Important: Press the retaining tabs (2) on the turn signal switch (1) and pull the turn signal switch assembly away from the steering column (3).


4. Remove the turn signal switch assembly from the steering column (3).



Installation Procedure






Important: Listen for an audible click from the retaining tabs (2) to confirm correct fitting.


1. Install the turn signal switch (1) into the steering column (3).




2. Connect the turn signal switch electrical connector (1).
3. Install the upper and lower steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement (Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement) .
4. Connect the battery negative cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .
5. Check all vehicle lights for correct operation.
