Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Using a taped flat bladed tool, gently pry and release the retaining clips which secure the IP accessory center trim plate (1) to the instrument panel assembly.
2. Disconnect the following components:

* The A/C switch electrical connector
* The hazard warning switch electrical connector
* The rear defogger switch electrical connector
* The passenger seat belt indicator electrical connector

3. Remove the A/C switch, if necessary. Refer to Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement (Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement).
4. Remove the hazard warning switch, if necessary. Refer to Hazard Warning Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Remove the rear defogger switch, if necessary. Refer to Rear Window Defogger Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Press the locking tabs and remove the passenger seat belt indicator from the IP center trim panel.



Installation Procedure





1. Slide the passenger seat belt indicator into the IP center trim panel until the locking tabs engage.
2. Install the rear defogger switch, if removed. Refer to Rear Window Defogger Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Install the hazard warning switch, if removed. Refer to Hazard Warning Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Install the A/C switch, if removed. Refer to Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement (Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement).
5. Connect the following components:

* The passenger seat belt indicator electrical connector
* The rear defogger switch electrical connector
* The hazard warning switch electrical connector
* The A/C switch electrical connector

6. Install the IP accessory center trim plate (1) to the IP assembly. Ensure that the retaining clips are fully engaged.
