Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Set the parking brake.
4. Shift the vehicle into neutral, if equipped with automatic transmission.





Important: The I/P center trim bezel is painted and can be damaged. Pull on the bottom of the bezel to disengage the lower clips first or damage to the HVAC control module could occur.


5. Remove the I/P center trim bezel.
6. Remove the hazard switch. Refer to Hazard Warning Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).

Installation Procedure

1. Install the hazard switch. Refer to Hazard Warning Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).




2. Install the I/P center trim bezel.
3. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Install the I/P compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Shift into park.
6. Release parking brake.
