Folding Top Pump Bracket Replacement
Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to Eye Protection Warning (Eye Protection Warning).
Warning: Refer to Folding Top Hydraulic Pressure Warning (Folding Top Hydraulic Pressure Warning).
Warning: Refer to Servicing Electrical Components Warning (Servicing Electrical Components Warning).
1. Place the folding top in the up position.
2. Open the rear compartment.
3. Disconnect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair).
4. Place a protective covering over the rear compartment interior and the adjacent body panels.
5. Remove the right side compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side (Coupe/Sedan) (Service and Repair)Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side (Convertible) (Service and Repair).
6. Remove the push-in-pins that attach the control module to the pump bracket.
7. Remove the electrical connectors from the pump bracket and control module.
8. Remove the nuts (2) that attach the pump to the floor pan.
9. Lift the pump upward to disconnect the electrical connector from the hydraulic pump motor.
10. Remove the screws (1) from the pump bracket (2).
Installation Procedure
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).
1. Install the screws (1) to the hydraulic pump bracket (2).
Tighten the screws to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
2. Connect the electrical connectors to the hydraulic pump.
3. Install the nuts (2) that attach the pump to the floor pan.
Tighten the bolts to 18 Nm (13 lb ft).
4. Connect the folding top pump solenoid harness.
5. Install the electrical connectors to the control module.
6. Install the push-in-pins that attach the control module to the pump bracket.
7. Install the side compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side (Coupe/Sedan) (Service and Repair)Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side (Convertible) (Service and Repair).
8. Remove the protective covering.
9. Connect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair).
10. Remove the rear compartment lid support.
11. Inspect the hydraulic system fluid level and add fluid as needed. Refer to Folding Top Fluid Addition (Service and Repair).
12. Close the rear compartment.
13. Inspect the folding top for proper operation.
