Diagnostic Fault Information





Circuit/System Description

The folding top control (FTC) module receives B+ on X1, terminal 26. The FTC Module monitors this circuit for proper operation.

Conditions for Running the DTC

The FTC module is active.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

Voltage is less than 8 volts when active, or 9 volts when inactive.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The top is disabled.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

The fault is no longer present and the top completes one cycle.

Diagnostic Aids

A weak battery can cause DTC B1335 03 to set.

Circuit/System Testing

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X1 harness connector at the folding top control module.
2. Ignition ON, test for greater than 9 volts between the B+ circuit terminal 26 and ground.

If not within the specified range, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.

3. If all circuits tests normal, replace the FTC module.

Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.
